Sylevy Cleaning, the First Waste Management Operator in Romania Recognized as a National Benchmark for Digitalization, Transparency, and Integrity

During the event “Circular Economy in Practice – Implementation, Investments & Results,” held in Gura Humorului, Sylevy Cleaning was honored with national recognition for successfully implementing and operating one of the most advanced information systems in Romania’s waste management sector.

In front of representatives of central and local authorities, public administrations, Intercommunity Development Associations (ADIs), waste management operators, and environmental companies, the system implemented by Sylevy Cleaning was presented as a national example of best practice.

The message was clear: Sylevy Cleaning is the first waste management operator in Romania to bring the digitalization of waste collection services to such a level—real, functional, verifiable, and transparent.

For us, this system is not merely a contractual obligation or a reporting platform. It has become an operational management tool that enables us to plan, monitor, verify, and demonstrate every activity carried out in the field.

Through our information system, we can plan collection routes, divide service areas into micro-routes, allocate collection vehicles according to the needs of each locality, and optimize daily operations to provide a more efficient, transparent, and traceable service.

Every household is registered within the system. Every route can be tracked. Every collection vehicle can be monitored. Every intervention can be verified. Every report is generated from recorded data—not estimates.

Our dispatch center has real-time visibility of where each vehicle is located, which routes have been completed, which areas have already been serviced, and where additional intervention is required. If a vehicle approaches its maximum capacity or an unforeseen situation arises, resources can be redistributed immediately.

For drivers, the system provides direct operational support in the field. They can view the exact route to follow, the order of households to be serviced, and the locations that have already been collected. This significantly reduces the risk of missed collections and makes daily operations easier, especially for new employees or colleagues temporarily covering another service area.

For public authorities, the system delivers control, traceability, and full transparency. Inspections no longer rely on statements or assumptions, but on objective information recorded within the system. Collection activities can be monitored, verified, and analyzed based on concrete evidence.

We believe this is the direction in which waste management must evolve: more technology, greater transparency, stronger accountability, and greater respect for citizens.

Implementing such a system is not simple. It requires dedication, adaptability, operational discipline, and the continuous commitment of the entire team. The outcome, however, is significant: a fairer, more transparent, and better-organized public service.

The fact that Sylevy Cleaning has been recognized and presented as a national example confirms that consistent, dedicated work creates real value, and that genuine digitalization is not simply about software or equipment—it is about adopting a responsible, transparent, and accountable way of working.

Today, we can proudly say that Sylevy Cleaning has become a national benchmark in the digitalization of waste management services and in ensuring genuine transparency in field operations.

For us, transparency is not a slogan.

It is the way we work.

Sylevy Cleaning – Performance through Digitalization. Transparency through Data. Integrity through Actions.
